FUNDRAISING GOAL: $30,000

  Programs Supported by Your Donations

Here at Shenango, we have the goal of raising $30,000 so that four to six students can participate in Study Abroad and Alternative Spring Break opportunities. These take place through the Penn State Global program. By supporting Study Abroad, you can help send a sophomore, junior or senior who is studying in any academic field to apply their knowledge in a real-world environment, anywhere in the world. By supporting Alternative Spring Break, you can similarly assist a Shenango student perform service-learning projects - such as creating community gardens or repairing a school building - while in a different country. Shenango students will have the opportunity to grow professionally and as people, getting in-depth application in their field of study while experiencing a different cultural setting.

Needs that Cannot beMet without Your Help

Penn State Global Affairs provides all Penn State system students the opportunity to participate in academic and service travel abroad. However, while this department provides logistical resources, each individual student is responsible for raising the funds necessary to travel. Funding for travel is not included in a student's overall academic support from scholarships or other funding sources.
