Programs Supported by Your Donations
Emergency Recovery Program- This program has been developed to enhance our services to victims of local disaster such as fire, flood, natural disasters. It is designed to help close the gap between the initial emergency assistance clients receive, such as temporary shelter and clothing to the transitioning stage between homelessness and permanent housing. In short, we help navigate the client into the recovery stage by providing information and navigation on documentation recovery, applying for housing, furnishing their new housing unit with basic items such as kitchen sets, bedding sets and hygiene kits.
Needs that Cannot beMet without Your Help
Normally, we assist victims of local disasters with initial and immediate needs such as clothing/bedding vouchers, food, and limited shelter and emotional/spiritual care. We have found that after these initial services are depleted, our clients have nowhere else to turn. We have had to assist clients by extending shelter stays, recovering lost documentation, and connecting clients with other agencies. If the family moves into a new permanent residence, we need funding to assist them with furnishing their household with necessities such as bedding, cooking sets, hygiene kits etc.
