ACTS is an established theater group performing for over ten years in the Shenango Valley. Originally in Sharpsville, we relocated to Sharon in 2020 and purchased the former Sacred Heart Church to establish a regional Performing Arts Center which will educate, entertain, and drive regional economic development.

ACTS renovated the old Sacred Heart Church into two venues – the downstairs “40 Below” space and the main stage upstairs. We launched our 12th season of live performances on our main stage in October of 2023 and have entertained over 2,500 people since that time. We continue to expand our outreach to students of all ages with vocal and acting workshops for both youth and adults. Not only have we produced our own shows, but we are now booking sold out performances by performing groups like the world famous Tamburitzans and hosting MCG Jazz from Pittsburgh. We are expanding operations for both venues through a combination of produced and hosted performances by regional and national talent. This will require our technical equipment to remain flexible and help reduce show production costs.

Needs that Cannot beMet without Your Help

The lingering effects of Covid continue to soften ticket sales as the community begins to come back to live theater. We are now hosting touring groups and produce our own shows. We have learned that having a digital screen improves staging, reduces set construction cost, and allows for transitioning the performance spaces more seamlessly between shows. We believe this combination of improving the audience experience, coupled with reduced set construction expenses and increased performances, will yield a very positive impact in the coming years. We anticipate this up front cost including installation and minor changes will be $50,000.
