PINE VALLEY BIBLE CONFERENCE (AKA PINE VALLEY CAMP)
SERVING LAWRENCE COUNTY
AMOUNT DONATED: $130,306.27
We are a year-round faith-based camp featuring a residential summer camping program and other year-round programs for at-risk and underprivileged youth ages 6-15 from Lawrence County and the surrounding area. We are one of very few camps that targets this underserved group whose families' income falls below the federal poverty guidelines.
Our mission is "to rebuild broken lives through Jesus Christ." By teaching life skills, life principles, some basic job skills and presenting the gospel message, we aim to be a place of fun, hope, healing and transformation that prepares these youth to become healthy responsible adults.

Programs Supported by Your Donations
You can designate your donation to support our summer camp program ($53,000), to supplement our summer staff salaries ($47,000), or to the building of our new dining hall ($50,000).
1) Summer camp runs from mid-June to mid-August and features many fun activities like swimming, hiking, fishing, archery, canoeing, basketball, wall climbing, biking, horseback riding, and more. We teach life skills and life principles like teamwork, taking personal responsibility, and how to make wise decisions. We teach basic job skills like cooking, cleaning, and landscaping to select teens. We also share the gospel message of Jesus Christ and give the children the opportunity to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior without pressuring them. We do not practice discrimination in any way.
2) To be competitive we're doubling our counselor salaries, which is an additional $47,000 commitment. Any donation given to support our summer staff will help cover this expense.
3) The dining hall serves as the heart and hub of the camp and this new building will allow us to seat 300 at one time and serve more youth. We have raised over half of the $5 million needed and are close to completing the foundation work. All donations are important to this project. THANK YOU for whatever area you choose to support!
Needs that Cannot beMet without Your Help
Unfortunately, inflation has become a major issue in all areas of camp operations. The cost per camper has increased by $100, raising the total cost/child to $950. Additionally, the construction and materials cost of the dining hall went up 66%. Grants from foundations and companies continue to be extremely competitive with the rise of many other reputable causes and issues and more organizations applying for somewhat limited grant funds.
