ACTS - AREA COMMUNITY THEATRE OF SHARPSVILLE

ACTS was founded in February 2011, to provide education, cultural development, and performing arts in the region while striving to create a legacy of quality entertainment. By utilizing the talents of all age groups and encouraging the pursuit of artistic development and expression, we now look to deepen our impact. We have presented over 30 productions translating into $750,000 in gross revenues, which have benefitted the community. In 2019, due to circumstances beyond our control, we relocated from Sharpsville to the former Sacred Heart Church in Sharon. We are currently converting the space into a regional performing arts center.

ANIMAL PROTECTION LEAGUE OF WESTERN PA

Our goal is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome as many cats and dogs as we can, help manage and control the feral cat population and provide community outreach programs.

BEACON OF THE VALLEY

Beacon of the Valley is a fund of the Community Foundation that focuses on helping kids 12 and under in the three counties that make up the Mahoning Valley - Trumbull and Mahoning Counties in Ohio and Mercer County in Pennsylvania.

BEATITUDE HOUSE

For 30 years, Beatitude House has been successful in its mission to create homes, provide educational opportunities and foster healthy families. Over 7,500 women and children have been served across our three programs. Our housing program assists homeless families with obtaining a home, subsidizing housing costs and providing voluntary support services to help them stabilize their lives. The Ursuline Sisters Scholars program helps low-income students break the cycle of poverty and get a new start by obtaining a post-secondary education. Our Immigrant Outreach program offers English as a Second Language classes (ESL), tutoring for school-aged children and outreach services.

BELOVED MERCY MINISTRIES

BeLoved Mercy Ministries(BMM) was established to address the need of families experiencing homelessness in the Grove City school district. The struggle with homelessness is particularly challenging in Grove City because there is not easy access for services. Most available assistance is at least twenty minutes away. BMM's mission is to provide dignified short-term housing as a bridge to restore long term hope and self-sufficiency to the lives of our neighbors most in need.

The Buhl Club provides programs that promote health, wellness and youth development. Our mission is to provide quality recreational, social, wellness and educational programs for people of all ages in our communities. We continue to work hard to provide a safe, welcoming and comfortable place for ALL people, regardless of their ability to pay.

BUHL PARK

Buhl Park is brimming with opportunities to do, dream, and discover. It's recreational and cultural gem in the heart of Wester Pennsylvania's Shenango Valley. Our mission is to fulfill the Buhl legacy by providing recreation, education, and entertainment while promoting a healthy lifestyle and thriving environment. Our vision is to build a healthy, happy, and connected community. Beyond features and amenities, the Park fosters health and wellness, environmental stewardship, and regional economic development. BUILDING OF HOPE

The Building of Hope ministry started in the summer of 2017 and our mission is to show the love of Christ by providing gently used furniture and basic household necessities. We provide people in our community who have fallen on hard times with a hand up, not a hand out. We have partnered with Laskey’s furniture in Sharon to help us fill the need of providing beds. The purchase of beds is how the majority of our grant funding is used. We also give out “Baskets of Hope” with toiletries, a Daily Bread devotional, and invite them to church.

CITY RESCUE MISSION

Founded in 1911, the Mission exists to meet the physical, emotional, relational and spiritual needs of hungry, homeless and hurting men, women and children in western Pennsylvania. The Mission is a privately-funded Christian ministry, receiving no federal funding and relying solely on private donations. The Mission is unique as all services are provided based on need rather than ability to pay. Through faith-based programming, our guests and clients often experience an inward change resulting in many experiencing a renewed, transformed life.

Community Counseling Center of Mercer County provides assessment and treatment through a wide range of services for children, adults, and families who are experiencing mental health concerns & substance abuse problems. The library is a patron-focused resource center, enhancing the lives of people of all ages and backgrounds by providing outstanding materials, programs, and technology in a safe inviting environment. CRISIS SHELTER OF LAWRENCE COUNTY

The Crisis Shelter of Lawrence County, as the single organization designed to meet the specific needs of violence victims, provides trauma informed, outcome based services to anyone needing help. Our mission statement says it all: The Crisis Shelter of Lawrence county empowers and advocates for those affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, and other violent crimes. We inspire and educate citizens to create safer communities and break the cycle of violence.

ENVISION BLIND SPORTS

Envision Blind Sports’ mission is to increase sport, outdoor adventure, fitness and physical activity opportunities for individuals who are blind or visually impaired in order to promote lifelong wellness. There is a significant lack of opportunities and education of blind sports, and we aim to increase awareness and build more programming. Through our organization, individuals are given opportunities to push themselves beyond what is expected. Our goal is to educate individuals and help so to understand that individuals who are blind and visually impaired are capable of participating in any type of physical activity when properly adapted.

FOUNDATION BOXING AND YOUTH CENTER

Our main goals at the Foundation Boxing and Youth Center are, to provide a positive outlet and safe environment for our youth to come and exercise. To instill values such as self-esteem, self-discipline and dedication, self-determination, and above all respect. Respect for others, as well as, for themselves. We are teaching Our Youth and young women and men to grow up and mature into responsible young adults. We are helping them to become model citizens and good role models for those who follow in their footsteps. With your help we can make a difference, one youth at a time!

GOOD SHEPHERD CENTER

The Good Shepherd Center is a multi denominational ministry established in 1991 to be of service to the economically challenged of the greater Greenville community. The Center shows concern for all individuals who enter our doors regardless of creed, race, nationality or lifestyle. The Good Shepherd Center became a reality out of the commitment of 12 area churches and has grown to 24 Board Member Congregations today.

GROVE CITY AREA MEALS ON WHEELS

Grove City Area Meals on Wheels prepares and delivers hot, nutritious meals to elderly, disabled and convalescent members of the community at an affordable price. We deliver to Grove City, Leesburg, Mercer, Harrisville and Slippery Rock. Sometimes our volunteers are the only person a client sees all day, being a safety-net particularly for those living alone.

HUBBARD FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY

Hubbard Friends of the Library's mission is to support Hubbard Public Library (HPL), its new and ongoing programs and activities. HPL evolves continuously to meet changing and unmet needs of this community, including complex challenges presented by the pandemic. Virtual programs, hybrid programs and outdoor programs have been implemented to respond quickly, innovatively and safely to patron and community needs. The need for additional outdoor programs, in particular, is huge. HPL’s new initiative, “Beyond Library Walls” will grow and build upon current outdoor initiatives and resources to serve all members of this community.

United Way of Mercer County champions quality programs for children and families in our region. JOSHUA'S HAVEN

Joshua's Haven City Rescue Mission serves to "feed the hungry, shelter the homeless, share the Gospel of Jesus Christ" Our men's shelter offers a bed, warm environment, clothes and meal to homeless men on site and homeless families temporary shelter in local hotels. Our Free Medical Clinic "extends the healing ministry of Jesus to all uninsured by providing medical care to those in need." All services are offered free of charge, 365 days a year.

At the Lawrence County YMCA, our mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy body, mind and spirit for all. Our vision is to develop a new generation of changemakers who will create communities in which we all want to live. LYDIA'S LOVE MOMENTS

Lydia’s Love Moments was founded while Lydia was hospitalized for 18 months of her first two years of life with a congenital heart disease (CHD). Her family's difficult experience helped us see the needs of heart families. Lydia's Love Moments serves CHD patients and their families while in Pittsburgh Children's Hospital. Our mission is to enrich the lives of these families by creating moments to love and inspire hope in their darkest days. We provide meals, activities, and support with the assistance of our generous donors and through fundraisers that increase awareness of congenital heart defects and organ donation.

MEALS ON WHEELS OF NEW CASTLE

Meals on Wheels of New Castle delivers freshly made lunches and suppers to the homes of local residents, primarily the elderly. Our meals are delivered by compassionate volunteers who have been trained in safe practices to limit COVID exposure. We deliver Mondays through Fridays to most New Castle addresses, and on a modified schedule to some of the outlying areas. Although our clients can be any age, income or disability status, the menu is established to meet the nutritional needs of individuals over 65. The cost for lunch and supper is $6 daily,$30 weekly, $1560 yearly.

MERCER COUNTY MENTORING

Our mission is "Supporting Children Through the Power of Positive Relationships" We provide mentors to at-risk children between the ages of five and fifteen, from predominately single parent homes throughout Mercer County.

NEW CASTLE PLAYHOUSE

In 1958, the New Castle Playhouse (NCP) was incorporated as a non-profit, 501(c) 3 organization. Since that time, we have been enriching the lives of our community through live theatrical performances, a goal that is clearly reflected in our mission statement: The New Castle Playhouse exists to foster community pride, civic renewal, and cultural enlightenment, through quality theater arts experiences, produced by the community, for the community. We strive to provide quality productions to our community, and also to provide those individuals with a desire to express their creativity through theater, a venue to do that.

NOAS was founded 42 years ago to find forever families for youth in the Mahoning Valley child welfare system. With the reality that thousands of teens leave the system without ever experiencing the stability of a family, our purpose and programs have evolved to meet that need. We exist to inspire, develop, and nurture enduring support and connections for current and former foster youth and those at risk of coming into care and envision the day when every child and young adult who has been in the child welfare system has a safe and supportive family network.

OTTER CREEK FARM SANCTUARY, INC.

We are a 501c3 non-profit organization committed to providing sanctuary to farm animals. We believe in a plant-based diet and encourage others to explore the benefits of vegetarianism and veganism. The public is invited to visit the Sanctuary and experience the peaceful environment while meeting the animals who have captured our hearts. It is a place where humans can enjoy nature and have positive interactions with farm animals. It is a reminder that their fate rests with us. PENN STATE SHENANGO

Penn State Shenango is located in the heart of downtown Sharon and is a crucial asset for revitalizing the downtown area. With new majors and the expansion of our athletic department, we're improving the quality of life for our students and providing a Penn State degree in the Shenango Valley. The growth of our campus boosts the culture, economic development, and energy in downtown Sharon. We know golf has a rich history in the Shenango Valley, and building a successful program will help retain our youth to stay in the community while earning a world-class Penn State degree.

PINE VALLEY BIBLE CONFERENCE (AKA PINE VALLEY CAMP)

We are a year-round faith-based camp featuring a residential summer camping program and other year-round programs for at-risk and underprivileged youth ages 6-15 from Lawrence County and the surrounding area. We are one of very few camps that targets this underserved group whose families' income falls below the federal poverty guidelines.

Our mission is "to rebuild broken lives through Jesus Christ." By teaching life skills, life principles, some basic job skills and presenting the gospel message, we aim to be a place of fun, hope, healing and transformation that prepares these youth to become healthy responsible adults.

As Prince of Peace Center, an affiliate of Catholic Charities consistent with the teachings of the Catholic Church, our purpose is to provide support for the economic, emotional and spiritual needs of those needing a helping hand to build self-sufficiency. PROMISE OF LIFE NETWORK

Promise of Life Network's mission is to honor Christ by empowering mothers to choose life, educating individuals and families about healthy relationships, and providing medical services, material assistance, and spiritual support. We provide local families with pregnancy testing, ultrasound scans, and STD testing and treatment. We also provide parenting education and material support to families with children ages three and under. Further, we provide healthy relationships education to students in local public schools. In the last two years, we have begun providing life-affirming help to women worldwide. All of our services are provided free of charge to individuals in need.

RESTORE RIVERSIDE PARK

Restore Riverside Park is a non-profit volunteer group established in 2018 to revamp the Plimpton Graul Amphitheater in Riverside Park, Greenville PA. This project was completed in 2020 and stands testimony to what can be done when a group of individuals have a goal and the will to complete it. The group is now restoring Riverside Park to a usable and viable recreational facility. Our committee consists of a group of retired individuals who have seen the need and have the desire to help. Shenango River Watchers is a 501(c)(3)non-profit watershed group formed to restore and protect the environmental, scenic, and recreational attributes of the Shenango River Watershed. Working together, our members, volunteers and donors have made SRW an award-winning organization. Our projects include environmental education, water quality and aquatic life research, cleanups and recycling as well as creating recreational opportunities.

SOCIETY OF ST. VINCENT DE PAUL TRUMBULL COUNTY, INC

Society of St. Vincent de Paul has provided daily and emergency safety net services to Trumbull County neighbors in need for more than 90 years. In most cases, SVdP is the only organization providing that service in Trumbull County. Our mission is to foster hope and healing for those individuals/families facing financial hardships. SVdP provides a hand up to those struggling by providing material, financial, educational, emotional and spiritual support as needed. Our primary goal is to make certain that, while we provide for those most vulnerable in our area, each neighbor we serve is treated with dignity and respect.

St. Paul’s is a nonprofit, faith-based senior living community, serving more than 600 older adults daily through a full continuum of care. Services offered include home care, community living, independent living, personal care, memory care, short stay care, rehabilitation and long-term skilled nursing.

TAILS OF HOPE

Tails of Hope (TOH) believes the world will be a better place when it values and ensures the well-being of companion animals, treating them with kindness and compassion. TOH exists to eliminate neglect, abuse, and suffering of animals resulting in improved and overall quality of animal life. TOH strives to impact pet over-population through spay/neuter programs and support of rescue, rehabilitation, adoption and education. In 2016, TOH opened at the Thomas M. O'Brien Animal Care Center to fulfill its mission and to honor Thomas M. O'Brien's love of animals and service to the community.

The Ridgewood at Shenango Valley is a nonprofit senior living residence offering aging in place accommodations and supportive services for up to 52 older adults. It is a collaborative effort built on the strength of two area health care leaders – UPMC and St. Paul’s Senior Living Community. The mission of The Ridgewood at Shenango Valley is to provide meaning, richness of life and health care services for seniors. TRAILS END CONSERVANCY, INC

Trails End Conservancy, Inc is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to healing hearts and providing hope, love and laughter to people of all ages and abilities through equine assisted interventions. Our “Fly High with Horses” program is tailored for Veterans and Veterans families of all ages and abilities. Some equines are rescued due to extenuating circumstances and rehabilitated to help those suffering from emotional traumas, disabilities, illness or substance abuse and those just wanting to improve their communication, leadership, and teamwork skills. We believe every horse deserves a second chance and every person deserves a smile.

TRUMBULL MOBILE MEALS

For over 50 years, Trumbull Mobile Meals is dedicated to providing home-delivered meals to those who cannot drive to a congregate meal site or food distribution center, or prepare a daily nutritious meal, regardless of age, gender, race, ethnic background, religious or economic circumstance. Our mission is to ensure that "No Person Goes Hungry" in our neighborhoods.

VALLEY OF SHENANGO ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION

The VSEDC promotes new business development in downtown Sharon. Our new Urban Agriculture Entrepreneurial Innovation Center (UAEIC) seeks to play an important role in the revitalization of Northwestern Pennsylvania's local food economy and generate jobs/future careers in the Shenango Valley. The UAEIC will provide a state-of-the-art Aquaponics facility, a food test lab, and an open market to the public. We want to prove the Shenango Valley can grow from the decline in industrial jobs and shift to the agriculture business.

WEST FARMINGTON VILLAGE

We are in the process of establishing a 501C3 account with the Community Foundation of Western PA and Eastern OH. Our fund raising efforts will be used for a new playground (ours had to be removed due to unsafe conditions & insurance) and to rehab our baseball diamond and field. We are currently applying for grant $ and will be in need matching funds.

WEST HILL MINISTRIES

WHM is a neighborhood ecumenical ministry that seeks to share the gospel of Jesus. The goal of WHM is to engage our neighborhood in as many ways as possible to provide quality programs. Our neighborhood is rich in opportunities to be the hands and feet of our Lord Jesus. Our programs serve from youth to seniors.

WHOLE LIFE SERVICES

Whole Life Services provides comprehensive services to people who are often ignored and denied access to the community — adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and autism. Because the federal government mandates that these individuals engage and participate in community activities, we focus on opportunities that remove barriers to community access and inclusion, including living in single-family homes, having community jobs, and actively being part of our community. Our goal is to create pathways to jobs, spark homegrown innovation, and ensure that our area be a place where individuals with disabilities can enjoy an everyday life.

WILLOW WOMEN'S CENTER

Willow Women's Center exists, thanks to this generous community, to serve women facing an unexpected pregnancy. Willow provides them with a medical grade pregnancy test, an ultrasound to date their pregnancy and confirm that their pregnancy is viable, STD testing and options consultation in a compassionate, confidential, non-judgmental manner.

Willow's Mission: To be the first step for women facing an unplanned pregnancy, transforming their fear into confidence, by addressing their physical, spiritual and emotional needs, and equipping them to make healthy life-affirming decisions.

The mission of the YMCA of Franklin & Grove City is to foster strong individuals, families and communities with Christian values by providing quality programs that strengthen spirit, mind and body for all.

YOUNGSTOWN BLUE COATS

The mission of Youngstown Blue Coats, a 501c(3) non-profit organization founded in 2017, is straightforward, “In America, nobody should freeze to death.” During winter, we distribute warming items (coats, boots, gloves, hats, scarves, sleeping mats/bags, and more) to homeless veterans and other homeless in Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio. We also advocate for those who need assistance, and we work with diverse area agencies to provide each individual we encounter the resources he/she needs. YBC depends entirely on volunteers; there are no paid staff and all funds go directly to our mission.

YWCA MAHONING VALLEY

As of May 1, 2018, YWCA Youngstown and YWCA Warren have merged to form one entity YWCA Mahoning valley. YWCA Youngstown opened in 1904 and the YWCA Warren began in 1916 in downtown Youngstown and Warren, respectively. Both organizations share the YWCA USA's mission of eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. Serving women and families in the Mahoning Valley is what drives our respective organizations, and by combining forces it makes the community as a whole even stronger.

ZION EDUCATION CENTER

Since March 1, 1995, Zion Education Center has provided educational opportunities and supportive services to low-income families in the Shenango Valley. Our mission is to empower young children to excel beyond their potential and exceed their environment. We believe our mission is designed to:

• Prepare the next generation to overcome developmental risk factors through high-quality educational strategies.

• Provide positive coping mechanisms that foster resilience for our children and families to break generational cycles of poverty, trauma, and despair.

• Promote excellence with innovative approaches that empower the next generation to transform and rebuild communities.
