Programs Supported by Your Donations
WaterFire Sharon, PA hosts two large-scale riverfront events each year, designed to attract visitors to Downtown Sharon and the Shenango Valley. Donations directly support a full day of art-centered programming that includes live music, interactive street performers, local and regional artists, family activities, and over 40 artist vendors. Our Children’s Fun Zone offers free hands-on crafts and play areas that encourage creativity and bring families together.
Donations also help us improve the evening river lighting ceremony, which features over 50 floating braziers, fire, and a captivating river performance. Over 150 volunteers work together to create a powerful experience that celebrates both the arts and our community. With additional support, we plan to grow the event to attract even more visitors, bring more business to the area, and create more opportunities for artists of all kinds—musicians, painters, dancers, and more—to share their work. These improvements will help boost tourism, support local businesses, and make Sharon and the Shenango Valley a more vibrant place to live, work, and visit.
Needs that Cannot beMet without Your Help
WaterFire Sharon, PA continues to make a big impact, but like many community events, we’re feeling the strain from a drop in donations and sponsorships over the past year. Limited funding has made it difficult to refresh supplies for our interactive activities, bring in top-tier performers, and invest in merchandise or marketing efforts that could help the event grow. With additional support, we can improve the experience for guests, attract more visitors to the area, and give even more artists a platform to share their work. Your support helps keep this unique and meaningful celebration thriving in our community.
