Needs that Cannot beMet without Your Help
Our agency, considered a first response organization for victims of violence, remained open and completely operational during the entire Covid-19 pandemic. Because stressful times are most often a cause for a spike in domestic violence and other interpersonal violence incidents, Arise worked hard to make sure all of our services were offered to those who were in need by increasing our capacity to offer tele-health, online access to prevention programs, trainings and other resources, and more mobilized counseling and advocacy services for those who were not able to reach us in more traditional ways.
Since the on-set on the pandemic, we have faced a 18% increase in the demand for our services. Our ability to continue to grow and meet the uptick in request for services has been challenged by the fact that our most prosperous fundraising events have been cancelled in recent years due to pandemic-related challenges.
While we have recently started planning for future fundraising events, our organization has lost over $100,000. These funds are critical to the survival of our non-profit organization and directly fund critical and life-saving programming for those impacted by violence in our community.
