  Programs Supported by Your Donations

Arise provides the following services to all victims of violence utilizing trauma-informed care techniques and outcome-based programs and curriculums.

Advocacy: Legal advocacy includes assisting victims with care during interviews with police, preparing statements, helping to explain courtroom procedures, assisting survivors in filing protection from abuse orders, etc.

Medical Advocacy includes assisting victims during hospital and doctor visits as well as being present and supportive during the collection of rape kits for prosecution. Victims receive help writing impact statements, preparing safety plans, and providing education to family and friends.

Education & Outreach: We provide trainings throughout the county at schools, colleges, workplaces, churches, etc. as well as larger-scale outreach and tabling events.

Therapy: Counselors utilize outcome-based therapy and are provided free of cost to both adults and children.

Residential Services: These services are provided in three ways. Mass shelter is provided on an emergency basis to anyone needing safety from violence. Transitional Housing consists of 4 fully furnished apartments on site. Finally, rapid re-housing permits our organization to help pay rent costs for families being rehomed in the community.

Needs that Cannot beMet without Your Help

Our agency, considered a first-response organization for victims of violence, works hard to make sure all of our services are offered to those in need by increasing our capacity to offer access to prevention programs, trainings, and other resources, more mobilized counseling, and advocacy services for those who are not able to reach us in more traditional ways, and increased services for those seeking emergency shelter and relocation.

Since the pandemic, we have faced an 18% increase in the demand for services. Our ability to continue to grown and meet the uptick in requests for services has been challenged by the fact that many of our funders have either received no increases in funding or have seen a drastic cut to funding, which impacts our agency directly.

These funds are critical to the survival of our non-profit organization and directly fund critical and life-saving programming for those impacted by violence in our community.
