Programs Supported by Your Donations
At Echo Pines Equine, we provide individual therapy, family therapy, educational and regulation programs for schools and programs senior living facilities. We have worked with clients referred by the Mercer County Juvenile Advisory Council, Mercer County Aware, The Arc of Mercer County, and Keystone Adolescence Center. We also provide services for local residents and clients recovering from addiction. We are certified in Trauma Focused Equine Assisted Psychotherapy through the Natural Lifemanship Institute to help people and animals form connected, trusting relationships to overcome toxic stress and trauma. It is important for clients to achieve bottom up regulation of the brain, which helps heal trauma, creates positive interactions and self regulation skills which enhances the quality of life. Tanner's Trail is part of our program. It is an obstacle course in memory of a veteran who passed away. The obstacle course provides a fun yet challenging experience for both the horse and client as they conquer each obstacle together while building trust in one another.
Needs that Cannot beMet without Your Help
Our services are offered at no cost to our clients. The need for mental health services for individuals and families continues to trend upward. However, the availability of services has not increased. The pandemic has impacted the mental health of many individuals and families. There is an increase in demand for treatment for addiction, anxiety and depression. There are many barriers to treatment due to lack of providers, cost and insurance approval. We continue to fundraise for Echo Pines Equine. Donations are appreciated to help provide therapeutic resources, continued trauma training and overall operating costs.
