Echo Pines Equine, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2022. We provide Trauma-Focused Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy to individuals and families using principles developed by the Natural Lifemanship Institute. Our mission is simple yet powerful: to help others find peace and fulfillment through the healing connection with our equine partners. Trauma-Focused Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy centers on building healthy, attuned relationships between horses and clients. Through these meaningful connections, clients engage the entire brain in the healing process, creating opportunities for trust, respect, emotional regulation, and personal growth to naturally emerge.

Programs Supported by Your Donations
At Echo Pines Equine, we offer individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, and specialized programs for schools, senior living facilities, veterans, and community organizations. Our team is trained through the Natural Lifemanship Institute to help both people and animals form connected, trusting relationships that support healing from toxic stress and trauma. By promoting bottom-up brain regulation, our programs help clients improve self-regulation, develop healthy coping skills, and enhance overall quality of life.
One of our signature programs, Tanner’s Trail Equine Obstacle Course, was created in memory of Staff Sergeant Tanner Edwards, a veteran of the Army National Guard. This obstacle course offers both horses and clients a fun yet meaningful challenge as they navigate obstacles together, building confidence, communication, and trust along the way. We are also proud to partner with the Butler VA Health Care System to provide trauma-focused services to area veterans and their families.
Needs that Cannot beMet without Your Help
To ensure accessibility and reduce barriers to care, all of our services are provided at no cost to clients. We proudly serve vulnerable populations who may not otherwise seek or receive treatment. As a volunteer-based organization, we rely on the generosity and support of our community to sustain therapeutic resources, ongoing trauma-informed training, horse care, and daily operating expenses.
