The mission of the Grove City Area United Way is to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of our community. In support of this mission, the Grove City Area United Way has identified the following funding areas, listed in order of priority:
1. Crisis Intervention – ensure individuals have adequate food, safety, housing and warmth.
2. Supporting Vulnerable Populations – individuals at risk of being in crisis and who may have an ongoing need
3. Strengthening Families and Promoting Self-Sufficiency
4. Helping Children and Youth Succeed

Programs Supported by Your Donations
The Grove City Area United Way funded 8 community organizations in 2024. These organizations and the programs we have funded within them include:
- AWARE - Brandi Montgomery House, a shelter for victims of domestic abuse and violence
- Christian Assistance Network - provides critical needs assistance
- Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania - girl scouting
- Grove City Community Food Pantry - food assistance to income-qualified individuals
- Grove City Education Center for Adults - GED preparation
- Grove City YMCA - After school programming
- Meals on Wheels - Daily meal delivery to area elderly
- Salvation Army, Grove City Service Unit - Emergency needs assistance
In addition to providing funds to these nine local organizations, the GCAUW operates our own programming:
- Stuff the Bus program, provides new backpacks and school supplies to students in need within the Grove City Area School District
- Dolly Parton Imagination Library Program - provides one free book per month for children from birth to age 5
- Food for Kids - provides weekend meals, snacks and drinks to students in need during the school year
- Annual Day of Caring
