Established in 1876, Grove City College is a private Christian and liberal arts college located in Grove City, PA. The College’s mission is to equip students to pursue their unique callings through a Christ-centered, academically excellent, and affordable learning and living experience. Grove City College is the largest college in the country that does not accept any federal funds (i.e., Pell Grants, Stafford Loans, etc.). This commitment is essential to maintain independence as a Christian institution and remain focused on its enduring mission.

The President’s Merit Scholarship Program at Grove City College was created to strengthen recruitment of high-achieving students, offering $7,500 annually and renewable for four years. The program enhances the College’s ability to compete with peer institutions while remaining independent from federal funding and steadfast in its Christ-centered mission. More than a scholarship, this program provides meaningful opportunities for students to engage directly with President Brad Lingo '00, network with distinguished alumni, and participate in exclusive events. Support for this scholarship program enables Grove City College to continue attracting the best and brightest while reducing financial barriers for outstanding students. In the program’s first year, over 100 students in the incoming freshman class qualified for and were awarded this new scholarship. The President’s Merit Scholarship is available for all incoming applicants including any student who qualifies from Mercer and the surrounding counties.
