HUBBARD COMMUNITY YOUTH LEAGUE

SERVING WARREN (OH) / SOUTHERN TRUMBULL COUNTY

AMOUNT DONATED: $0

Hubbard Community Youth League (HCYL) is a 501c(3) non-profit organization founded in 1986. Our mission focuses on youth who wish to participate in organized athletic programs, including baseball, softball and soccer. Youth benefit greatly from participation in these organized athletic programs in many ways. Team members are physically active, develop basic athletic skills, learn and acquire sportsmanship, leadership and teamwork attributes. They also develop discipline, time management skills and respect for others. Through their participation in these sports, they make meaningful connections with their peers and with trusted adults in the community.

  Programs Supported by Your Donations

Hubbard Community Youth League focuses on providing organized athletic programs, specifically baseball, softball, T-ball and soccer. Registration is open to the community and held at the local City Building, a central community facility. Registration for baseball, softball and T-ball is for youth of all ages, including ages 5-6 (T-ball); ages 7-8; ages 9-12; and ages 13 and older. Fees are kept as low as possible in order to facilitate participation from youth, irrespective of family income. And, if more than one member of the family wishes to participate, there is a discount for each additional sibling. The registration timeline is announced via local news media, Facebook, and other sources. Registration fees help to pay for uniforms, umpire fees, league fees, field maintenance, equipment, trophies and insurance. Donations from “PA-OH Gives 2025” will be used to keep fees paid by players as low as possible, and thus encourage and facilitate participation by all youth who are interested, irrespective of family resources. There are also travel expenses associated with the games; teams travel for approximately 50 percent of their games. Other ways in which HCYL raises funds to support these teams and expenses include raffles, sponsorships, and other fundraising events.

Needs that Cannot beMet without Your Help

Donations would enable us to keep the registration fees charged to participants low. The Hubbard community, including businesses and individuals, is very generous, but we are encountering ‘donor fatigue.’ That is, the same individuals and businesses are being asked to support many causes by many organizations, and these organizations have limited funds. Thus, we strive to diversify and expand our donor base. Donations from “PA-OH Gives 2025” would be extraordinarily helpful. Thank you for your generosity! Your support enables us to support these amazing youth.
