The long-standing Hubbard Wrestling Booster Club officially became a 501c(3) non-profit in 2024. Its mission is to assist the wrestling teams and coaches in Hubbard Exempted Village School District achieve the best possible wrestling program. This includes essential resources for the male and female Middle School and High School teams and their coaches. Wrestling team members all benefit greatly from their participation in organized athletic programs. Team members are physically active, develop basic athletic skills, learn and acquire sports and leadership and teamwork attributes. They make meaningful connections with their peers and with trusted adults in the community.

Programs Supported by Your Donations

Wrestling team members, male and female, require wrestling-related equipment, uniforms, shoes, mats and more. Teams, both male and female, compete with other local and regional teams and transportation to these competitions is essential and costly. Trophies and awards are given and these too are supported by the Boosters Club. Travel and other expenses related to Wrestling Summer Camps and league tournaments are also supported as much as possible to support our wrestlers. In addition, the Wrestling Boosters Club offers numerous, diverse events during the year in order to raise funds and get the entire Hubbard community involved with our organization and support our teams. For example, the Club has sponsored Annual Spaghetti Dinners and accompanying Basket raffles and an annual Golf Outing. Other fundraising events also involve area businesses who wish to provide support. And, this year (May 2025), we will host an adult wrestling competition, “The Bald and Fat Classic,” to raise funds for our Boosters Club. In addition, wrestling team members and other Club members including parents and alumni have hosted events such as a Car Wash.

Needs that Cannot beMet without Your Help

Donations would enable our Boosters Club to continue to build upon and add to our programs supported. The materials we buy to support our wrestlers continue to increase in cost, as do other costs such as transportation. And, while the Hubbard community, including businesses and individuals, is very generous, we are experiencing ‘donor fatigue.’ That is, the same individuals and organizations are being asked to support many causes, and their funds are limited. Thus, we strive to diversify and expand our donor base.
