Founded in memory of Abigail ‘Abby Joy’ Campbell, this foundation will bless children and families as they walk incredibly difficult medical paths. Abby Joy was born with a rare genetic condition that impacted many body systems. She was a cancer survivor and worked her way off of ventilator dependence after two years. She passed away at age 3 from an unexpected seizure. Through all her medical challenges she showed a true joy that was beyond circumstances that comes only from Jesus. We hope to help other families find JOY through difficult circumstances.

Programs Supported by Your Donations

This fund was recently established after Abby Joy went to be with Jesus in April 2025. Fundraising will occur this summer to prepare for a fall launch. ‘Laps of Love’ in September will benefit children and families going through childhood cancer (a project the family has done for the past several years). Many other plans will be developed by the board based on funding (including meals, gift cards, etc.) The family is familiar with all floors of Pittsburgh Children’s Hospital and plans to bless other families as needs arise throughout the year.

This fund is brand new and would like a solid foundation going into the fall launch so we can meet many types of needs. A medical issue with a child impacts a whole family. Each dollar represents another opportunity to help a family when they need it the most. The board of this fund is made up of parents and clinical professionals who understand medically complex children. We believe that we are blessed to be a blessing to others.
