MERCER COUNTY CREATIVE ARTS FOUNDATION
SERVING THE SHENANGO VALLEY AND GREENVILLE / NORTHERN MERCER COUNTY
AMOUNT DONATED: $0
The Mercer County Creative Arts Foundation exists to help foster a thriving community and boost economic growth in Mercer county and the surrounding region through the production, support and encouragement of the creative arts. We support bringing filmmakers to Mercer County because of the many resources available. We offer educational programs for students wishing to make movies and we lend support to existing creative groups such as The Greenville Symphony Orchestra, and theater groups for special projects. The arts can bolster and create sustainable economic revitalization in our area.

Three highly anticipated projects of the Greenville Symphony Orchestra for 2025-2026 are being planned. The Mercer County Creative Arts Foundation's goal is to support them. The first project is a collaboration with the film, Mr. X, a full length action packed movie being filmed in Mercer County. The orchestra has been asked to perform an original composition for the movie which features both local and professional actors.
Then in the spring of 2026, GSO hopes to welcome Jeans N Classics for a concert dedicated to Motown. This special performance hopes to match the 2016 sold out ABBA tribute performed by this same group.
Finally a third anticipated project slated for the summer of 2026 is a free pops concert in Riverside Park celebrating 250 years of American freedom.
Our foundation is thrilled to be able to support local creative organizations. The GSO founded in 1929, has enriched our community for over 96 seasons. Please consider helping us help the The Greenville Symphony Orchestra expand its program.

Needs that Cannot beMet without Your Help
We are a newly formed foundation. Your contribution will open a new area of development for our county and for those who have talents in the creative arts. When funding becomes tight, the first area that is affected is the arts. Our goal is to connect creative organizations to government and business resources offering support. It is also our goal to make the public aware of all of the creative endeavors that exist in Mercer County.
