Myron’s Meal Mobile: a retrofitted school bus that provides hot, nutritious meals to children and families by traveling to low-income neighborhoods during the summer months. Myron’s Meal Mobile made its maiden voyage in the summer of 2021 and has since served over 21,000 meals.

School Pantry Program: School Pantry is designed to provide students in grade school who are facing hunger access to healthy, nutritious food five 5 days a week.

Harvest Helpings: Harvest Helpings provides 200 tons of fresh produce year-round to our neighbors facing hunger through the Mid-Atlantic Regional Cooperative, & Pennsylvania Agricultural Surplus System, as well as local farmers.

Emergency Food for Emergent Needs: a pilot program designed to bridge the gap between a food crisis and getting set up at one of our 52 member agencies.

Needs that Cannot beMet without Your Help

Mercer County Food Bank (MCFB) and our network of over 50 member agencies are working tirelessly to meet the increasing demand for food assistance across the county. In 2024, MCFB witnessed a remarkable 16% surge in the need for food assistance, resulting in the distribution of an impressive 3.1 million pounds of food. This surge was driven by an unprecedented number of neighbors turning to the charitable food system for assistance. As we continue our efforts to address this ever-growing need of the nearly 16,000 food insecure neighbors across the county, we urgently require your support. Without your assistance, the demand for food assistance is poised to surpass the available funding.
