STRAYHAVEN ANIMAL SHELTER
SERVING GREENVILLE / NORTHERN MERCER COUNTY
AMOUNT DONATED: $3,687.08
Strayhaven is a no-kill, non-profit animal shelter in Greenville, PA. We care for surrendered and abandoned/stray animals within Mercer County. All animals receive veterinary care, food/water, volunteer interaction, and a safe place to sleep while waiting for their forever homes. At capacity, we can care for up to 18 dogs and 15 cats. We are solely funded through donations and local grants/foundations. Our goal is to care for the homeless cats and dogs and place them in new, loving homes

Programs Supported by Your Donations
Our animals will benefit from the donations as any donations received will go towards providing veterinary care and food for the animals. On average, it costs over $500 to provide full veterinary care for animals and we make half of that amount through adoption fees. We also assist community members with veterinary and food needs if they need assistance. This is to help keep animals in their current home rather than being surrendered to a shelter.
Needs that Cannot beMet without Your Help
So far this year, we have adopted out over 70 dogs and over 30 cats. Every animal that comes into our care needs a full veterinary workup, along with food/water, and a safe shelter. With every donation, we are able to save more animals from neglect, homelessness, and being abandoned. Along with raising funds for our current shelter, we have a goal of building a brand new shelter to be able to help even more animals and provide a center for community engagement on animal welfare.
