FUNDRAISING GOAL: $5,000

  Programs Supported by Your Donations

Since 2022, we have been running a feeding program on Mondays and Tuesdays. During these two days, over 200 people come to receive a hot meal to either take home or enjoy on-site. Homemade meals are balanced with hearty proteins, fruits and vegetables, dessert, and a beverage, ensuring individuals are being fed a nourishing and filling meal. This program has also allowed staff to interact with community members on a more regular basis, allowing for long-term relationship building. Additional funds raised will help us purchase more food, disposable plates, cups, utensils, and napkins- all with the aim of serving more people in need.

In addition, we began a program to provide fresh produce, dairy, and meat once a month for food-insecure households. Since then, the program has grown to servicing over 800 families every month. Funding would ensure fresh options will continue to be available to a growing number of families in the area as prices only continue to rise.

Needs that Cannot beMet without Your Help

The Salvation Army started a little over a year ago a walk-through choice pantry at the end of the month. Families can get fresh produce like lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, onions, sweet potatoes, potatoes, turnips, cabbage, and celery. Frozen fruit, corn on the cob, meats, fish and more. We started with 50 families and now we are up to 500. We still provide meals on Mondays for 85 people.

We carry personal hygiene items as we have found there is a need for this due to the prices of things going up. We assist fire victims with items they have lost in a fire clothing and other items.
