Needs that Cannot beMet without Your Help

Demands on equine sanctuaries are substantial and multifaceted, as our facility provides lifelong care and
rehabilitation for horses that are abandoned, abused, retired, or otherwise in need.

Here are some major types of demands we typically face:

- Financial demands such as feeding and nutrition, veterinary care, farrier services, facility maintenance, and insurance.

- Staffing and volunteer management to handle daily care, medical needs and emergencies. Recruiting, training, and retaining volunteerism is a constant effort. Burnout is common among volunteers due to physical and emotional demands of the work.

- Capacity and space limitations due to increasing numbers of unwanted or neglected horses.

- Fundraising and public relations are a huge demand. We rely heavily on donations, grants and
sponsorships. Transparency and trust-building with donors and the public are crucial for long-term support.
