Programs Supported by Your Donations
All donor support will be utilized to improve local community health and enhance support for healthcare staff, patients and residents throughout Mercer and Lawrence Counties. Contributions will assist programs and initiatives such as the Medical Equipment Recycling Program’s facilities in Farrell, Greenville and New Castle, which annually loan durable medical equipment at no cost to thousands of area residents, as well as the Foundation’s scholarship programs, supporting local high school graduates and nursing students pursuing additional education in a health-care related field and the Foundation’s Transportation Fund, which provides access to care to local residents who are otherwise unable to travel to or from a medical appointment.
Needs that Cannot beMet without Your Help
Although the Foundation is generously supported by many local organizations and individuals, more donor support means more work can be done to improve area-wide community health. The Medical Equipment Recycling Program, while incredibly impactful for thousands of individuals each year, is always in need of additional funding to purchase medical equipment. Many area residents have limited income or face financial stresses preventing travel to even basic health care, and the pool of patients needing transportation is constantly growing. All donor support is utilized locally to support area health initiatives.
