Willy’s World is a charitable fund of the Community Foundation of Western PA & Eastern OH. Willy’s World is dedicated to raising awareness of hidden disabilities and empowering children and families through education, support, and inclusive community opportunities. Through safety grants, sensory support initiatives, parent workshops, and inclusive community events, Willy’s World serves families throughout Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio while working to build a more understanding, supportive, and inclusive community for children with hidden disabilities.

Programs Supported by Your Donations
Willy’s World provides programs and initiatives that support children with hidden disabilities and empower families throughout Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio. Donations received through PA/OH Gives will directly support several key programs and community initiatives.
Our Willy’s World Safety Grant Program helps families obtain critical safety resources such as fencing, GPS tracking devices, safety beds, and alarms for children at risk of wandering or injury. The Sensory Support Grant for Educators provides classrooms with sensory tools and inclusive learning resources that help students better regulate, focus, and succeed.
Funding also supports free parent and caregiver workshops that provide education, practical strategies, and connections to trusted local resources. In addition, donations help us offer inclusive community opportunities through events like Walk for Willy’s World, sensory-friendly activities, and awareness initiatives that promote acceptance and understanding of hidden disabilities.
Willy’s World also works to expand awareness of the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower program and strengthen partnerships that create more inclusive spaces for children and families in our region.
Every donation directly helps us provide meaningful support, education, safety resources, and inclusive opportunities for local families.
Needs that Cannot beMet without Your Help
The demand for Willy’s World programs continues to grow as more families seek safety resources, educational support, and inclusive opportunities for children with hidden disabilities. Over the past year, limited funding has restricted the number of grants we can award: safety fencing, equipment, and classroom sensory supports. We have also faced challenges expanding workshops, community outreach, and inclusive programming to meet increasing local needs. Additional funding would allow us to serve more families, reduce waitlists, expand educator support, and strengthen programs that directly improve safety, inclusion, and quality of life for children and caregivers in Western PA and Eastern OH.
